Day 1 : Hanoi - Tuan Chau Marina - Halong Bay - Lan Ha Bay

09:00 – 09:30     – Get picked up from your hotel (in or near the Old Quarter and not included in the cabin price) by La Regina Legend Limousine Dcar 9 seats.

Drive along new Asian Highway connecting the cultural capital with the World Heritage – Halong Bay, passing Bach Dang Bridge, one of the largest bridges in Vietnam and the third rank among the seven most cable – stayed bridges in the world. From the bridge, rest your eyes over the lush green mangrove lagoon that once upon a time, used to be the Mac Dynasty’s farming villages in the 16th century.

11:30 -12:30          – Arriving Tuan Chau Marina at noontime and a short speedboat transfer will bring you to your home tonight, the La Regina Legend Cruise. Welcoming crew with exciting drum beating and flags waving await for your first steps on board.

12:30 13:15            – Refresh yourself with cold towel and lemongrass welcome drinks at reception lounge before check-in your cozy home then move to Corona Restaurant where our Cruise Manager starts his welcoming speech and the Lan Ha Passage cruise itinerary briefing.

13:15 – 15:00        –  After that, enjoy sumptuous lunch in Corona Restaurant then get yourself familiar with live on board: exploring spa, gym and Jacuzzi area, bar and lounge on the sundeck and…do not forget to bring your camera with fully charged battery to capture any snapshots of the wonderful seascape a s we are passing Chan Voi (Elephant Feet), Van Boi and Tra Bau area.

15:15 -16:00        – Mid-afternoon, start your first o -board activity, taking bamboo boat row to discover the Dark & Light cave, paddling through a 70-meter long water tunnel into a nice lagoon towered by enormous limestone karst cli s protecting the border of Cat Ba National Park. On a lucky day, you can see a monkey herd or even langurs, a unique white -headed, critically endangered Cat Ba Langur – whose total population is just 60 individuals all over the planet.

16:45- 18:00       –  Back on board and cruise further, passing Cua Van seascape toward Ba Trai Dao (Three Peaches) beach area. The emerald water lagoon dotted with a hundred tiny white sandy beaches underneath beautiful rock shapes is probably the most ideal paradise for swimming and kayaking in the whole bay area.Boarding a local fish farm, walk between floating fish cages and the farm owner will enrich your experience by showing you different sea creature species, even huge groupers that weigh a hundred kilos. From the fish farm, start your next adventure, unveiling the Ba Trai D ao area by kayaking close to the watermark of the rocks, through little channels…feeling your toes on soft sandy beaches and let yourself pampered by gentle waves. You may have a chance to see coral reefs at some shallow seabed areas.

Back on board for refreshing then enjoy sunset cocktails and cooking demonstration on breezing sundeck, tasting di erent types of Nem, the famous Vietnamese spring rolls or
indulge yourself at our spa for hot rock treatment.

19:30- 21:00        –  Early evening, enjoy BBQ candlelight dinner on the sundeck and it may catch your eyes with sparkling lights from floating fish farms and boats nearby.After dinner, it’s your choice for a fun squid fishing or relaxing. Late evening, our cozy suite cabin filled with lemongrass aroma is awaiting for your sweet dream.

 

06:30-07:30 – Greet your new day with the soft movement of Tai Chi exercises on the sundeck then have a light breakfast before transferring to La Regina Explorer day boat to cruise further to Cai Beo ancient fishing village. Remember to have your camera fully charged and do not forget your travel diary and even pencil and drawing paper for quick
sketches of Cai Beo fishing village.

The picturesque 7000-year history fishing village appears after an hour cruise with exciting morning local fishermen activities among hundreds of fishing boats and fish
farms. From here, take a nice bus ride through lush green jungle to visit the hospital cave relic. The three -floor old hospital built in Vietnamese-American wartime with  bunkered operation and treatment rooms nested inside a beautiful cave was a shelter for hundreds of local people and war invalids during the war. Continue the bus ride to Gia Luan to board La Regina Grand cruise for a quick shower and following a get brunch on board before saying goodbye to the crew.

Smoking on board  is among the important topics that many travelers want to know before boarding, either they are for or against it.

It is a strict rule that there is no smoking allowed in cabins and indoor areas, even with e-cigarette. You can smoke in designated areas on the open decks, like sundeck or outdoor bars.

If you are a smoker and your cabin has a private balcony, ask your cruise manager if you are allowed to smoke in the balcony.

You can be fined if found smoking in the prohibited areas, but the higher risk is to confront other passengers, even if you are smoking in the designated areas or in your private balcony where smoking is allowed.

You may not know Smoke often drifts back when the cruise is moving forward, and smoke drifts to other passengers’ personal space or the non-smoking area in the same deck or other balcony users. Fire is the most dangerous hazard on any ship, no matter how shallow the water or how few passengers it carries. If you do smoke, be considerate and be sure that the ashes are totally cool before you leave the area.

Cigarettes, cigars, and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard.

Halong Bay and coastal neighborhoods provide great Vietnamese fresh food, seafood, and vegetables, while imported beef, lamps, cheese, salmon, butter…from worldwide well-known brands also are present in cruise kitchens.

We also cater for individual dietary requirements, for example: seafood-free, vegetarian, or kids menus. Please contact your cruise in advance if you will be requiring special food while on board.
